Aquaman 2: A New Release Date, Is Amber Heard In Aquaman 2?

Aquaman 2 Release Date

Arthur Curry is the DC Comics character who has made the most money at the box office. Because of the success of the first film, Aquaman 2 seemed inevitable it may be DC’s most anxiously anticipated film of the year.

A significant shift for a character who has long been the punchline in comic book jokes – from Family Guy to Entourage – and who has long been overshadowed by the heroic trinity of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, to say the least. With Jason Momoa’s wisecracking portrayal in the lead role and a redesign inspired by DC Comics’ New 52, Curry has been promoted to the top table of superheroes.

Reuniting Momoa with his castmates Amber Heard, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and director James Wan in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (The Conjuring, Fast & Furious 7). Taking Aquaman to locations he’s never been before promises to up the ante on the original’s underwater action.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s release date has been pushed back to March 17, 2023.

Since all underwater scenes were done in sophisticated harnesses supported by “dry-for-wet” actors, Aquaman 2 should not seem any different from its predecessor, filmed on the Gold Coast of the Australian state of Queensland.

In a January 2022 Instagram post announcing the end of main photography, director James Wan said that several Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom scenes were also shot in Malibu:

This is the most concrete information we have about the movie’s plot. The writer and director James Wan have worked together before on two The Conjuring movies and the first Aquaman movie.

What does it all mean for Arthur Curry now that he’s wearing Aquaman’s classic gold and green armor, has the Trident of Atlantis, and is sitting on the throne of Atlantis? However, Wilson’s early Instagram post with the cryptic hashtag #brothersdon’tshakehandsbrothersgottahug may have made things a little more confusing. Will it be possible for family members to get along again?

Going back to the official plot summary for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, could Orm be the “unlikely ally” with whom Aquaman “must make an easy alliance” in order to “save Atlantis and the world from irreversible destruction”?
