On January 5, 2009, KBS broadcast the first episode of “Boys Over Flowers.” It lasted for 25 episodes, and on March 31, 2009, it came to an end. All of the episodes are currently accessible for worldwide viewing on Netflix. It made its US audience debut on KBS America.

Following its premiere in South Korea, “Boys Over Flowers” received astronomical viewership rates, sparking a k-drama wave across Asia.

The cast members not only became overnight celebrities, but the show advanced to become a cultural phenomenon by having a significant impact on South Korean men’s fashion statements as they tried to emulate the “beautiful boy” image portrayed in the drama.

Even more astoundingly, it attracted incredible attention internationally, leading to broadcasts in other nations. Despite all the accolades, the producers of this well-liked Korean romance drama have yet to announce whether it will be renewed, nearly a decade later.

Additionally, there were no additional comic books in the Japanese manga from which the show was based. Now, if they do and they want to keep telling the story in the same timeline, the creators may need to look for new, untried actors. If a sequel is planned, it will need to show either a time jump or a change in setting.
