It seems expected that Samsung’s One UI Android overlay, in its most recent iteration, will come preinstalled on the Z Fold 4 when it is released. The One UI 4.1.1 operating system, which is based on Android 12L and was introduced for the first time in early June, is expected to come preinstalled on the device.

Hardware of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

Hardware of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

With a book-like appearance, an external screen for times when you don’t want to unfold your phone, and a larger inside screen so you have more options when you do, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will feature a similar design to the Galaxy Z Fold3.

Every Samsung Z Fold product has had this design, and the next iteration doesn’t seem to be going to change that. There will be changes, but the leaks suggest there will only be minor ones, such as a changed aspect ratio.

This phone has been leaked quite a bit, however there aren’t many pictures of the actual thing. OnLeaks and SmartPrix gave us renderings of the upcoming phone in a single article, and they largely mimic those of Samsung’s earlier folding phones.

The most notable hardware leak came from IceUniverse in May, who claimed to be familiar with the details and to have a history of correctly forecasting Samsung leaks. A 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz was the internal display of this leak.

A 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate will serve as the outside display. That seems to be identical to the Galaxy Z Fold 3 for both displays, but other rumours suggest that there will be screen changes that these specifications initially omit.

Expect a creased screen, similar to what we saw on the Oppo Find N foldable, however insiders claim that Samsung has fixed this issue with the Z Fold 4 and the Z Flip 4. That should, ideally, imply that it is best to gaze at content that occupies the centre of the display.

The recently released Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which has yet to be seen in a new smartphone, ought likely to be located inside. You should expect the next foldable to perform at a flagship level because this is the company’s most recent and powerful chipset.

There are numerous reports that the phone will ship with 12GB of RAM as standard, so expect a powerful model. Depending on the model you select, your storage will most likely be 256GB or 512GB.

One story claims that the phone will also be available in a 1TB version, but we should anticipate that model to be rather pricey. You shouldn’t expect the Z Fold 4 to support microSD cards like the most recent Samsung flagships do.

The sources claim that the camera will have three cameras on the rear. The important Ice Universe leak indicates that these will consist of a 50MP primary, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP telephoto 3x zoom camera.

This won’t be able to compete with Samsung’s genuine flagship phone from 2022 because it won’t have the same level of power as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Also consistent with a lot of other leaks we’ve heard in recent months.

But they aren’t the only cameras on the phone; Samsung has also offered a front-facing camera in the past, and we believe that it will be the same 10MP camera. On the internal display, there should be a second 4MP under-display camera.

The camera on this phone should only be adequate for the occasional video call because the Z Fold3 had very comparable technology, but it wasn’t amazing.

The S Pen stylus can be tucked away when not in use thanks to a S Pen slot, according to early speculations about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4.

The company’s first foldable with a stylus compatibility was the Z Fold3, but the pen cannot be placed inside the phone. Recent speculations claim that the Z Fold 4 won’t include a S Pen slot since there isn’t enough place in the construction.

If you were hoping for a Galaxy Z Fold 4 with a longer battery life, you might be disappointed to learn that it will have the same 4,400mAh battery as the previous model. Here, a 25W fast charging technology is also expected.

It’s a good product, but not the best one currently on the market. It’s unknown if wireless charging, another feature of earlier Z Fold phones, will return.
