The third season of Mob Psycho 100 just ended on a high note, and now is a good time to speculate about the show’s potential future. After premiering in 2016, the anime has already completed three seasons, which is a good amount of time for an animated show. Is there going to be a season 4 of Mob Psycho 100? Find out the details, including what’s happening with the manga.
Mob Psycho Season 4 Storyline
At the beginning of the episode, Tsubomi witnesses the massive storm that Mob’s rage has created. She waits for Mob even though she knows she should leave. At the same time, the wind made it hard for Reigen and Serizawa to approach Mob. Serizawa makes an effort to challenge them, but his efforts yield no results. According to Reigen, it’s fine because he can finish the journey alone.
Although the genuine Mob is hesitant to approach Tsubomi, a version of Mob who appears to be completely unhinged but is actually a manifestation of Mob’s psychic powers gradually approaches her. Tsubomi stopped using Mob’s powers around her when he was no longer interested in them as a child, but she still accepted him. The insane Mob claims that it wasn’t the actual Mob who fell in love with her, but rather his abilities, and that this is why he must see her immediately.
Mob overhears Reigen calling for him in the distance and comes to the same conclusion that Tsubomi did; he has never been treated unfairly by his master due to his talents. Even though the crazy Mob knows Reigen is inept and a con artist, the real Mob knows that Reigen has always treated him well. With Reigen looking on in terror, Mob expresses all of the feelings he’s been repressing for a long time.
The rest of Mob’s corpse keeps heading toward Tsubomi, certain that he has outrun Reigen. However, Reigen has already sprinted ahead to catch up with him. The crowd is shocked by the strength with which the older man grasps his hands in an effort to slow him down and facilitate communication. After a moment, Reigen looks up, signalling that he has surrendered physical control to Dimple. Dimple claims that the energy drew him in and helped him find his way back, but he is now having trouble keeping his bearings.

Though appreciative of the spirit’s help, Reigen is adamant about having a private chat with Mob.
Reigen breaks down in tears and comes clean about the fact that he has never possessed any psychic abilities. He sobs as he tells the truth to the angry mob. From the time they were young children together, he lied to and used Mob. ‘I don’t have a clue when it comes to all this psychic crap, and that’s who I truly am,’ he says.
He claims that he now deeply regrets having the nerve to refer to himself as Mob’s master, but that what Mob is going through right now is still completely normal. While he abhors his evil nature, it strengthens his relationship with Mob and, just as Mob’s abilities have benefited him, so have they benefited Mob. Reigen tells Mob that he should be happy with who he is and that he doesn’t need to change.
As the real Mob wonders if his powers will ever accept him like they have his other friends, the clock is ticking down to his inevitable explosion. Although Mob insists he just wants things to go back to normal, his powers remain terrified of being rejected by Tsubomi. If something like that happens, Mob tells himself, they’ll be fine. Having lost control of his body for far too long, Mob is finally able to reassume dominion over his physical self. They send him off to Tsubomi with a single flower in their bouquet. Dimple asks if they should come along, and Reigen assures him that Mob needs to do this on his own.

How About Season 4 of Mob Psycho 100? Answered
Since the third season adapted the final arc of the manga and there is no more story to tell, it seems unlikely that there will be a fourth season of Mob Psycho 100. This isn’t to say that a sequel film won’t be made at some point, but something as lengthy as an anime season is highly unlikely.
All that remains of the series after these 37 episodes and the Reigen OVA (Original Video Animation) is probably the spin-off.
Has the Manga for “Mob Psycho” Ended?
In December of 2017, author ONE released the final chapter of his Mob Psycho 100 manga. There are 16 books altogether. Nonetheless, publication of the manga has not yet concluded.
While volume 16 of the Japanese original was published in July of 2019, the English translation is, as usual, several months behind. The ninth volume in the English language just came out in August. There is still some time before fans of English-language manga have to wait to read the entire story in print, as volumes 10 and 11 are scheduled for release in January and April of 2023 respectively.
