Early Life

He was the son of Karen DeSantis and Ronald DeSantis and was born on September 14, 1978 in the city of Jacksonville, Florida. He took his father’s name, Ronald Dion DeSantis, and became known by it. His family is made up of Italians. When he was six years old, he relocated from Orlando, Florida, with the rest of his family to Dunedin, Florida. Before that, they had been calling the state of Florida home.

As a member of the Dunedin National minor league club in 1991, he competed in the Williamsport, Pennsylvania, small league world series. This event took place in Williamsport. A little league served as the host for the series.
